Conventions of a contents page

I have looked at contents pages of the magazines that i also used for the front cover conventions, and these are the conventions that were used in a contents page:

• Follows the colour schemeof the front page
• The page number is in the main images
• Small detailed text telling us what the page is about
• Advertisements to lure the consumer in
• Anchoring the image with text
• Important stories are in bigger and bolder text
• Pictures of a page in the magazine have be made smaller so you can see what they look like
• A small number of fonts and sizes of fonts
• Subheads are used for different sections of the magazine
• Text is layered into columns
• Logo and text have been repeated from the front page
• No empty white space, all has been covered
