- Follows the colour schemeof the front page
- The page number is in the main images
- Small detailed text telling us what the page is about
- Advertisements to lure the consumer in
- Anchoring the image with text
- Important stories are in bigger and bolder text
- Pictures of a page in the magazine have be made smaller so you can see what they look like
- A small number of fonts and sizes of fonts
- Subheads are used for different sections of the magazine
- Text is layered into columns
- Logo and text have been repeated from the front page
- No empty white space, all has been covered

Conventions of a contents page
I have looked at contents pages of the magazines that i also used for the front cover conventions, and these are the conventions that were used in a contents page:
